Can you redownload ambassador games

No Gameboy Advance games for the program are out yet, but all ten Gameboy Advance game have been promised to be out before the end of the year. To qualify for the Ambassador Program , you will need to have already used the eShop application on your Nintendo 3DS. From there, scroll down to Your Downloads and you can see all the games that you can "redownload" any of the games that you see there for free!

You can quit now and go play it if you like — or you can stick around and repeat the process over and over again to get all the rest of the games. The titles you're looking for during this back-and-forth process are the 10 promised NES titles, including Super Mario Bros. Once you've grabbed all 20 of them, you're finished.

But, annoyingly, each successful download resets the eShop to its starting position. But, again, it's hard to complain about games for free. Note: New for the wave of GBA games in December is the fact that you can now choose 'Download Later' instead of 'Download Now,' to queue up all of the Ambassador games to download as a group while your system sits in sleep mode.

If you choose to go that route, this whole process gets a bit quicker - since the eShop won't bounce you back to its starting page after every download. At the end of it all you'll have a 3DS Home Menu full to bursting with happy little gift box icons. You'll then be able to 'Unwrap' each game one by one and choose which one you want to play first — unless you want to stick around in the Shop for one last little freebie. Step 6: Getting the Ambassador Certificate In addition to the 20 free games, there's an 21st download also newly available.

Called the Ambassador Certificate, it's a standalone download that contains a three-minute, multilingual message and a cool piece of background music. The message simply says that you can update your system's Notification settings to receive future messages from Nintendo about the Ambassador program.

These will be broadcast later in the year, and will involve information about when the 10 Game Boy Advance Ambassador games will become available for download. Downloading the Certificate and opting in to its notifications will take up only a small amount of your 3DS memory and will give you another SpotPass thing to look forward to.

So why not? But you can still grab it if you like. Troubleshooting That's the guide, ladies and gentlemen. Hopefully you're able to follow along the convoluted process without too much trouble and get to enjoy your free NES and GBA titles right away.

Nintendo's eShop and online policy, while hardly defensible, is not that flawed. In order to be an ambassador you had to do 2 things: 1.

Have a Club Nintendo account 2. Registered your 3DS serial number by a certain date, and connected to the eShop by a certain date. Look up your serial number for your old 3DS through your Club Nintendo account the Nintendo rep can even do this step for you, if you would prefer. Have the serial number for your new 3DS handy.

With your ID, old and new serial number, Customer Support will update your eShop account on your new system.
