When is federer vs djokovic match

It is the decision of the organisation. Yeah, probably. Berrettini played his first three matches on No 3 Court, and after a Manic Monday win out on Court 12 in the fourth round, the Italian beat Felix Auger-Aliassime on No 1 Court in their quarter-final match on Wednesday.

Djokovic saved 8 of 9 break pts, broke 5 times and hit 32 winners. Next: H2H vs berankisr d. Duckworth , , 4 , It's 1st RG 3R for Berankis. A solitary break, in the opening game of the final set, was enough to seal the deal as Djokovic wrapped up the win in just over two hours and a date with world no 93 Ricardas Berankis in the third round.

Berankis was a four-set winner over Australia's James Duckworth. Ninth seed Matteo Berrettini eased in the third round for the third time in four years - however he has failed to go beyond the last 32 on all three previous occasions. The Italian, whose best performance in a Grand Slam came when he reached the semi-final of the US Open in , was too good for Argentina's Federica Coria, racking up a victory in just under two hours.

The Frenchman, seeded 14th, watched on as Svitolina eased into the third round, and proceeded to lose the first set to Sweden's Michael Ymer. Ymer converted 7 of 10 BPs. Next: H2H vs [18] janniksin. The Serb will now contest his 50th Grand Slam quarter-final, with only year-old Federer ahead of him after the Swiss reached his 58th.

Defending champion Djokovic did not need to find his best level, still having enough quality to beat 17th seed Garin. Against Fucsovics, Djokovic is likely to be tested more than he was against clay-court specialist Garin on Centre Court. The chasm between the five-time champion and an opponent who had never won a main-draw match at Wimbledon before this year was simply far too wide. In a nervous start, Garin was unable to win a point in the opening two games, with Djokovic breaking again for a lead and clinching the opener without dropping another point in his service games.

After Djokovic had to fight off two break points in the second game of the second set, the Serb reasserted his authority to put pressure on Garin's serve and claimed the decisive break as he won the final three games. The year-old Chilean came into the match with a win-loss career record on grass and there was never any danger of that tipping in his favour.

Djokovic raced through the third set with two more breaks of serve, wrapping up the victory in one hour and 49 minutes. The straight-set triumph means Djokovic has not dropped a set at the championships since losing the opener to British teenager Jack Draper in the first round. It took a lot out of me but at the same time it gave me wings.

Sixth seed Federer turns 40 next month but his attitude towards success at the place where he built most of his legacy remains as sprightly as ever. A lack of court time in the past 16 months, because of a knee injury which required two surgeries, left many wondering how the Swiss would fare this fortnight.

This was another improved display from the former world number one as he reached the SW19 men's quarter-finals for a record-extending 18th time. But when you're me, with the year I had, it's all question marks all over the place," said Federer.

Now we'll see how much more I got left in the tank. The first set was delicately poised when a marathon 11th game was stopped - with Sonego about to try to fight off a fourth break point of the game - because of a rain downpour. After a minute pause for the Centre Court roof to be pulled over, the Italian 23rd seed restarted with a double fault to hand over the advantage - a cruel blow that left the fans gasping in sympathy.

Federer saved two break points before serving out the opener, then moved through the gears in the next two sets to seal victory. These comments are now closed. I really can't watch Djokovic bouncing the ball about times. Watching Federer is just poetry in motion. Will be sorely missed when he hangs up his racket. Comment posted by Rosemary, at 5 Jul Rosemary. Even at 39 Roger Federer in full flow at Wimbledon is a joy to watch, even more so now that each time I do I wonder whether this will be the last time. I'd love to think he could beat Djokovic to the title. Superb player as the Serb is, I've seen too much of his gamesmanship to really to able to support him. Nole broke his serve in the sixth game, but Federer broke back immediately and made one more break in the eleventh game which was enough for him to take the first set in 51 minutes.

Novak was brilliant in the second set. There were no chances for break in the third set until the 12th game, when Federer earned three in a row, which were also set points. He converted the first to clinch the set Djokovic raised the level of his game in the fourth set. He put the pressure on no.
